| We are going to Casper's Wilderness Park in Orange County on June 18th Be sure to get your reservation into Casper’s. It’s a beautiful campground with lots of wonderful trails. We’ll be staying there on June 18th and 19th, leaving for home on the 20th. The cost is $21.00 a day and $3.00 per horse per day. LVR will provide the main course on Saturday night, and we’re asking y’all to provide a side dish that you’d like to share with everybody. It will be great fun and it won’t be complete without you. Here’s the phone number to reach them for reservations: Call Mishel Kocheran for details
Down the Trail with Mishel Beautiful Anza On April 24 th we had our monthly trail ride out in Anza. As I was driving from Escondido, I had no idea it was such a beautiful area of Southern California. I had this idea that it was a dried up desert place with Joshua trees and scrub plants. Boy, was I in for a wonderful surprise. Pam lives on a mountain ridge in this beautiful old custom house with quite a history. She took me for a tour of her house and every room has a story! The views from her place were spectacular. Pam invited some neighbors to ride with us as we trekked out so I got to meet some of her friends while I was there. Altogether we had seven riders which was a perfect amount of people so we could all visit while riding. Pam pointed out plants and pine trees, and we even saw mountain lion tracks. The surrounding area was really beautiful and the horses enjoyed being in that fresh mountain air as well. We rode for about 2 ½ hours and looped back to Pam's house. When we all got back, we enjoyed each other's company, tall tales, and a great BBQ. What a great day that was! Thank you, Pam Bowman for your hospitality and friendship! Come and join us on future trail rides. It's so much fun to get to know each other while having fun on our horses. We find out about the trails here in So Cal and get to meet new people. Our next adventure will be the upcoming camp-out at Casper's Wilderness Park in O.C. Information can be found on the LVRclub.com website. See ya down the trail, Mishel
